Doctrine, everyone needs it. Even wars are driven by a 'war doctrine.' We all have doctrines (defining beliefs) about many things: God, how we will be judged, the afterlife, the role of women and men, the value of children, the rights of an employer/employee, the right to privacy, etc. The question is, where do we get our doctrine?
