Conflict. Most of us hate it, but it's an unavoidable part of being in authority, even moreso when you are determined to bring change to a decaying situation. The early church avoided needless controversies among themselves, but could not avoid spiritual conflict with the dark forces behind the murderous religious and business institutions of their day.
